Coaches Explanation: Best times SC & LC removal from database
· When we refer to “Best times SC and Best times LC” on the database we are actually referring to the best times of the swimmers from the previous season (2009/2010) that we have exported across into the new seasons database (2010/2011).
· These times have to be removed sometime during the new season as the requirements for our WP Championships, Jack Currie Championships and SSA’s Level 1, 2, 3 and Senior Nationals are that the swimmer can only enter on NEW times of the current season (2010/2011).
· This is why it is so important at the beginning of the season that the swimmers plan AHEAD - which events he/she needs new season times for and also plans ahead of time which galas he/she is going to swim to fit in with he/she other sport and school curriculum.
· All the swimmers “Best times SC & LC” will be removed from the database after the Vineyard Spring Gala on the 19th/20th November.
· A reminder that Club Series times CANNOT be used for WP Champs, Jack Currie Champs, Level 1, 2 or 3.
· Reminder: a swimmer must have participated at TWO WP galas (either winter or summer league or club hosted) before they can participate at WP Champs and Jack Currie.
This also important that athletes swim meets for the club and why the Coaches do the entries as they keep close record of what the athletes have swam and not swam for the season. The most important club meets for the season are WPA Champs & Jack Currie (WPA Junior Champs). We as coaches strive to have as many athletes compete at these meets as to show our club athletes strengths.
